Biographical Profile of Adena Kalal
Memorial Fund Chair

Local Rose Society Membership: Sacramento Rose Society

Years Growing Roses: 25

How I Started with Roses: I had just a few in my yard, and then after receiving a catalog in the mail, I ordered a few, and that started something that has not stopped as yet - a few or many new plants each year. Even had to move to get more land to enable me to grow all the roses! The count is about 600 now - of all types.

Profession: Retired Budget Analyst, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Rose Society Offices: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Rose Show Chairman of local societies. District Treasurer.

Comments I planned, helped plant, and assist in the maintainance of two more small rose gardens, one at my church and another at a Sacramento County Park - "The Dry Creek Ranch" in Rio Linda. Annual pruning demos are given at the "Ranch" site.
